Braziers International Film Festival (BIFF) is an annual three day independent film festival held at Braziers Park School of Integrative Social Research in Oxfordshire, UK. Programmed by a team of artist-filmmakers, the festival features several curated programmes of international films, plus special focus screenings, discussions and events. Giving space to cinema, conversation and community, the festival presents diverse voices and visions of creative filmmakers and artists from across the world.

Screened inside Braziers’ historic 17th century barn, the diverse film programmes include documentary, animation, narrative fiction and contemporary artists’ film. The festival is run as not-for-profit, and all proceeds raised at this event go towards supporting Braziers Park’s charitable aims.

The 7th Braziers International Film Festival ran from Aug 29 – 31, 2025. Many thanks to all who attended and made the festival such a warm and inspiring gathering.

Some photos from the festival can be seen here, plus full details of our 2025 programme, featuring eight curated programmes of international films, plus installations, communal gatherings, workshop and discussions with many attending filmmakers.

This year, we were delighted to present two film installations: The Flowers Stand Silenty Witnessing, by Theo Panagopoulos, and The Earth Weavers, by Rima Kaddissi.

Theo Panagopoulos’ film won our Glaister Award, as voted for by audience and festival team, which recognises a film that makes a ‘positive contribution to social development and action in the world today’. A Special Mention prize was given to Nightcore, by Daisy Smith.

We’re honoured that our Special Focus screening this year was Familiar Phantoms, directed by Larissa Sansour & Søren Lind. The screening included Sansour’s film Sbara, and Rafael Sánchez’ Wuthering Heights, each made during residencies at Braziers International Artists Workshop. The screening is a special event to mark the 75th anniversary of Braziers Park.
